Complex BFA

From $2,500

For couples with a trust or SMSF, a complex division, combined assets over $3 million, complex business structures, an existing BFA or court order, or where one party needs an interpreter.

Who it's for
A trust or self-managed super fund
A complicated division of finances
Combined assets over $3 million
Complex business structures
An existing BFA or court order in place
A super split before separation*
One party who needs an interpreter

* About super splits. The fixed add-on price is for post-separation super splits, which are relatively straightforward. Splitting super before separation is more complex: under Part VIIIB of the Family Law Act, the superannuation interest has to be identified in the agreement — but funds can change between signing and the eventual separation, so the clause has to be drafted to anticipate that. Many lawyers won't take it on for that reason. We can — it sits in our Complex BFA pricing.
